Find the problem before replacing the parts
A warm house can have more than one cause. An electrical fault, restricted airflow, a refrigerant leak, a condensate problem, or a thermostat issue can all interrupt cooling. We inspect the equipment and explain the findings so you can decide what to do next. Tell us what the system is doing, when the problem started, and whether one room or the entire home is affected.
AC problems we can help with
Our repair work includes capacitors, contactors, condenser fan and blower motors, thermostats, refrigerant leaks, drain lines, and other system faults. We work on split systems, packaged units, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits. A refrigerant issue needs a diagnosis; adding refrigerant alone may leave the underlying leak unresolved.
What happens during your service visit
We start with your symptoms and inspect the relevant controls, electrical components, airflow, and cooling operation. After diagnosis, we explain the proposed repair and its price before you approve the work. If a repair depends on parts availability or additional testing, we explain the next step. After an approved repair, we check system operation.
Repair today, or plan a replacement?
A repair may make sense when the fault is isolated and the rest of the equipment is in reasonable condition. Repeated breakdowns, a major component failure, or persistent comfort issues can make replacement worth comparing. We can explain both options without assuming an older system automatically needs to be replaced.
Before we arrive
Check that the thermostat is set to Cool and that the filter is not visibly blocked. Note any error messages. If the unit is iced over, turn cooling off and call for guidance. Avoid repeatedly resetting a tripping breaker or opening electrical panels. For a burning smell or an electrical hazard, stop operating the equipment.
