Describe the system and the symptoms
Tell us whether the equipment is a heat pump, furnace, or packaged unit, and whether it starts at all. Note thermostat messages, unusual sounds, and which rooms are affected. If you do not know the equipment type, describe the setup and we can help arrange the visit.
Diagnosis comes before a part recommendation
Controls, electrical components, airflow, and other equipment-specific issues can interrupt heating. We inspect the relevant parts and explain findings. If more testing or a replacement part is needed, the proposed next step and price are discussed before approval.
Stop operating equipment with signs of a hazard
For a burning smell, smoke, a carbon monoxide alarm, or suspected gas leak, leave an unsafe area and contact the appropriate emergency service or utility from a safe location. Do not attempt to bypass controls or repeatedly restart equipment that shows a serious fault.
Know your options after the inspection
An isolated failure can often be compared against the condition of the rest of the system. If replacement is worth considering, we explain why and discuss that option separately. After an approved repair, operating checks are part of completing the work.
